As vice dean, Strakowski is responsible for developing short- and long-term strategic plans for Dell Med’s research ascendency, as well as research processes, guidelines and expectations for Dell Med’s faculty and leaders. He oversees the medical school’s research office and is the primary research liaison with the University of Texas at Austin main campus. He is one of four mission area leads that, with the dean, serve as the medical school’s senior executive team.
